We’ve had three Inspire Sessions so far in 2026 at St Augustine’s RC, Forrester, and Broughton High School's.

At St Augustine’s the industry professional was Cora McGookin, who works in graphic design and the art department on films. She delivered a fun and engaging workshop, sharing her journey to enter the industry, before guiding learners through a hands-on creative challenge - designing their own packaging for personalised sweet boxes.

At Forrester, camera operator Neil MacLean led an insightful session exploring his role on set and the different pathways into the camera department, giving students a clearer understanding of the variety of careers behind the lens.

Meanwhile, at Broughton High School, composer David Hamill delivered a unique and inspiring workshop focused on the power of sound and music in film. Learners had the opportunity to experiment with a range of instruments while David demonstrated how he composes using professional software, bringing their ideas together in real time.

It’s been fantastic to see students engage with industry professionals and gain first-hand insight into the many creative roles within filmmaking.
