Heroin ‘Uncut’ – The Films of Peter Carr and the Edinburgh Community Stories Behind Them

In partnership with North Edinburgh Arts, we are screening Peter Carr's three part film series 'Heroin' which was filmed here in North Edinburgh in 1983. This is a really special screening as its the first time the films have been screened in over 40 years and Peter Carr will be in attendance.

Wed 23 April, 6.30pm-8.30pm: Heroin 1 – followed by Irvine Welsh in conversation with Zoë Black
Thu 24 April, 6.30pm-8.30pm: Heroin 2 – followed by Dr Roy Robertson in conversation with Victoria Burns
Fri 25 April, 6.30pm-8.30pm: Heroin 3 – followed by Peter Carr in conversation with Sarah Drummond

The BFI Film Academy Scotland Short Course Programme has courses for 16- to 19-year-olds taking place in Edinburgh at Screen Education Edinburgh, in Ayrshire at Ayrshire Film Co, in the Scottish Highlands at Eden Court Highlands, in Glasgow at GMAC, and in Aberdeen at Station House Media Unit.

Edinburgh & Lothians Schools Film Competition is a celebration of short film made by local children and young people. Free to enter for all City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, West Lothian and Midlothian nursery, primary, secondary and special schools.
