Applications are now open to become part of our Young Filmmakers Hub. If you're a young person aged 12-18 and interested in film, apply now! Sessions are weekly here at SEE, focusing on filmmaking and giving you practical experience in a relaxed and inclusive environment.

The BFI Film Academy Scotland Short Course Programme has courses for 16- to 19-year-olds taking place in Edinburgh at Screen Education Edinburgh, in Ayrshire at Ayrshire Film Co, in the Scottish Highlands at Eden Court Highlands, in Glasgow at GMAC, and in Aberdeen at Station House Media Unit.
BFI Film Academy Specialist Residential: Production Management

Our BFI Production Management Course is an intensive, hands-on opportunity for aspiring film professionals aged 16 to 19 from across the UK.

Edinburgh Shorts Showcase - Submissions Open!

The 48 Hour Film Project and Screen Education Edinburgh present a quarterly night of short films made by emerging filmmakers from Edinburgh and the Lothians at the Cameo.
Our story

SEE was originally known as Pilton Video, which was founded in 1981 to work exclusively in North Edinburgh to develop people, support the work of local organisations, and be at the heart of community development through film education and production.
Edinburgh & Lothians Schools Film Competition

Edinburgh & Lothians Schools Film Competition is a celebration of short film made by local children and young people. Free to enter for all City of Edinburgh, East Lothian, West Lothian and Midlothian nursery, primary, secondary and special schools.
