Through the Lens launches

Our new Through the Lens community filmmaking programme is underway!

Running from March to June 2024 the programme will amplify the voices of people in their communities by providing a platform to express themselves through short films, documentary, or fiction. In its inaugural year, we are working with young people at Craigroyston Community High School, Castlebrae Community High School, and Wester Hailes High School, alongside adult groups comprising of local residents from North-Edinburgh, Southeast Edinburgh, and English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) learners.

BFI Film Academy Craft Skills

On our BFI Film Academy Craft Skills Residential course, learners receive intensive learning in screenwriting, cinematography, sound, directing, production and editing, engage in industry masterclasses, and produce a short film. Applications for the summer 2023 course are now closed.
