Screen Education Edinburgh (SEE) is an organisation dedicated to filmmaking for all, teaching high-quality learning, training, and production programmes that develop screen opportunities for people of all ages across education, community, and talent and skills development.

Through a pathway of increased development, our programmes increase confidence, attainment, film knowledge and skills, and enable progression towards further study and into the workplace, with a strong track record of developing those from areas of deprivation, living with disabilities, or from diverse backgrounds.

Successfully securing multiyear funding from Creative Scotland, over the next few years we aim to strengthen and grow the organisation as we implement our 2025-2028 business plan. To aid this process we are seeking to recruit a new Chairperson, Secretary, and additional Trustees to our Board, including those with skills or experience in the following areas:

  • Education

  • Film and TV production

  • Fundraising, development, and sponsorship

  • HR
  • Youth and community development

Board meetings are held quarterly in Edinburgh with the ability to join remotely.  Travel expenses will be reimbursed where reasonable and in line with our expenses policy.

SEE is an inclusive organisation and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds. It is important to us that our Board is representative of the communities in which we work, and we warmly encourage candidates to apply who can help us to achieve this aim.
