News Through The Lens High School learners begin filming Learners from our Through The Lens groups at Castlebrae, Craigroyston, and Wester Hailes High Schools have begun production on their short films Through The Lens Craigroyston Community High School learners have started production on their film about a young girl who applies to art school behind her mums back knowing that she will be furious. However, her mum soon begins to realise that art has always been her daughters passion and decides to plan a big surprise!At Craigroyston, we also work with a group of S3 students. They are currently focusing on ideas for their upcoming micro short shoots! One film is about a young person who is struggling with anxiety and reminiscing about their childhood when life was simpler. The other film is about a young person who is watching TV and starts hearing nuclear alarms. They rush to see what is happening when planes start flying towards them through the window...Our Castlebrae High School learners have been finalising pre-production on their film "Spirit of the Woods" which follows Sara, a young girl who is hiding her queer identity from her friend Eva. After an argument where Eva makes a homophobic joke, Sara storms off into the woods and finds herself face to face with a supernatural entity...Wester Hailes High School learners are currently in pre-production of their film "The Hermit of Quarry Park" which starts filming next week. The film follows a young boy called Max who is new to the area. Hoping to fit in with two local boys, he is pressured into trying to rob a homeless man... Manage Cookie Preferences
