Through The Lens is back at Castlebrae, Craigroyston Community, and Wester Hailes High Schools The second year of our Through The Lens Programme has begun this month with projects taking place at Castlebrae, Craigroyston Community, and Wester Hailes High School's. Until June 2025 participants will learn each stage of filmmaking through watching and discussing different types of films, the key skills in camera, sound, directing, editing, and screenwriting, whilst being supported to use these skills to devise and produce a short film, with the Castlebrae and Wester Hailes youngsters studying for an Arts Award, and the Craigroyston youngsters taking part alongside their in class study of the NPA Creative Industries qualification.Through our partnership with the schools, we aim to cultivate a culture of creativity, education, and transformation. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that no one is excluded from the rewarding experience of participating in filmmaking activities and having creative control over the films they make. The programme is supported by Screen Scotland, The Robertson Trust, and The City of Edinburgh Council. Manage Cookie Preferences
