Applications for Through the Lens Edinburgh Southeast and Southwest are open!

Applications are now open for our Through the Lens programme in Southeast and Southwest Edinburgh!

Work alongside like-minded people from your local community to create your own short film while learning hands-on skills in camera, sound, writing, directing, producing and editing. You’ll also get access to industry masterclasses, social events, and support for your next steps in film.

The course is completely FREE and open to anyone aged 18+ (with no upper age limit!) living in Southeast or Southwest Edinburgh.

Application Deadline: Monday 16th February, 5pm.

The BFI Film Academy Scotland Short Course Programme has courses for 16- to 19-year-olds taking place in Edinburgh at Screen Education Edinburgh, in Ayrshire at Ayrshire Film Co, in the Scottish Highlands at Eden Court Highlands, in Glasgow at GMAC, and in Aberdeen at Station House Media Unit.

SEE was originally known as Pilton Video, which was founded in 1981 to work exclusively in North Edinburgh to develop people, support the work of local organisations, and be at the heart of community development through film education and production.
