Jonathan Payne

Our Lead Film Tutor, Jonathan leads on our Young Filmmakers Hub and GTCS teacher programmes, develops young people on our Foundation Apprenticeship programme, and young learners and adults on Through the Lens. First developed on SEE's Moving Image Arts programme as a young learner, he progressed to Edinburgh College of Art and graduated with a First Class Honours in BA(Hons) Film & Television and received two Royal Television Society awards.

BFI Film Academy Scotland Short Course Programme

The BFI Film Academy Scotland Short Course Programme has courses for 16- to 19-year-olds taking place in Edinburgh at Screen Education Edinburgh, in Ayrshire at Ayrshire Film Co, in the Scottish Highlands at Eden Court Highlands, in Glasgow at GMAC, and in Aberdeen at Station House Media Unit.

SEE was originally known as Pilton Video, which was founded in 1981 to work exclusively in North Edinburgh to develop people, support the work of local organisations, and be at the heart of community development through film education and production.
